About Yolanda . . .
A Detroit native, Yolanda is a proud alum of MOSAIC Youth Theater of Detroit, Detroit Cultural Renaissance Center and Interlochen Center for the Arts.
Yolanda is a product of youth arts education working as an actor, writer, vocalist and producer. She played Dianne in Williamston Theatre’s On The Market; Chelle in Detroit Public Theatre’s Detroit ’67 and Zee in Plowshares Passages. She studied music composition and writing at Columbia College Chicago.
In Chicago she began commercial and voice acting work while pursuing theater and received a Joseph Jefferson Award for Supporting Actress in a musical, 2006 for Spoon River Anthology.
Yolanda also performed the Jazz and Gospel Soprano/Alto U.S. roles in Raisin: A Musical Version of Raisin In The Sun - at Chicago’s Court Theatre. In 2022 she released her first single, “Meditation,” with a full album releasing later this year. She’s been featured in independent films, worked as associate producer and is currently writing projects for TV and film. Yolanda thanks her family and friends for their support and belief in her work.
